The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) EU-GDPR. According to this, data processing is necessary for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or to carry out pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request.

  1. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small text files that are automatically created by your internet browser and stored on your device (e.g., PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone) when you visit our site. Cookies do not damage your device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans, or other harmful software. Information related to the specific device used is stored in the cookie. However, this does not mean that we gain direct knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves, among other things, to make our offerings more convenient for you. For example, we use cookies to recognize if you have visited individual pages of our website before. These are automatically deleted after leaving our site. In addition, we use cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your device for a certain fixed period. When you revisit our site to use our services, it automatically recognizes whether you have been to our site before and what inputs and settings you made, so you do not have to enter them again.

There is a distinction between cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the services on this website (necessary cookies) and those that are not (non-necessary cookies).

Without the use of necessary cookies, this website does not function properly. These cookies are used exclusively by us (so-called first-party cookies), and all information stored in these cookies is only sent to this website. Necessary cookies are used regardless of whether you give your consent. The legal basis for data processing in this case is our legitimate interests, i.e., our interest in analyzing, optimizing, and the economic operation of our website and services (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) EU-GDPR).

The non-necessary cookies we use can be divided into categories of preference, statistics, and marketing. Marketing cookies are used by external companies (so-called third-party cookies) to collect information about the websites you have visited to create targeted advertising.

Non-necessary cookies are only used after you have given your consent. By consenting to the use of cookies listed in the consent tool provided on this website, you agree to the use of these cookies. The legal basis for data processing in this case is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) EU-GDPR).

You can adjust your cookie settings at any time by enabling or disabling individual cookies in the consent tool, except for necessary cookies.

You can configure your web browser to prevent cookies from being stored on your device altogether or to ask you each time whether you consent to the setting of cookies. You can delete cookies at any time. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the help function of the respective web browser.

A general deactivation of cookies may, however, lead to functional restrictions on this website.

  1. Storage Duration and Data Deletion

Your personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed (Art. 17 para. 1 lit. a) EU-GDPR). The data will then be deleted unless, for example, storage is required to fulfill a legal obligation, which requires processing under Union law or the law of a Member State to which the controller is subject (Art. 17 para. 3 lit. b) EU-GDPR), or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (Art. 17 para. 3 lit. e) EU-GDPR). Legal obligations include statutory retention periods, e.g., according to § 147 para. 1 no. 4, para. 3 sentence 1 of the German Tax Code, there is a retention period of 10 years for accounting data, including order and payment data, and according to § 257 para. 1 no. 2, 3, para. 4 of the German Commercial Code, there is a retention period of 6 years for commercial correspondence, such as email messages. During the retention period, the data will be locked, and after the period has elapsed, the data will be deleted.

  1. Rights of Data Subjects

You have the right to:

  • Withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7 para. 3 EU-GDPR). As a result, we may no longer continue data processing based on this consent for the future. The legality of data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected by your withdrawal;

  • Request information about your personal data processed by us (Art. 15 EU-GDPR). This includes the processing purposes, the categories of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned retention period, the existence of a right to rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, or objection, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;

  • Request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data stored by us (Art. 16 EU-GDPR);

  • Request the deletion of your personal data stored by us (Art. 17 EU-GDPR) unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;

  • Request the restriction of processing of your personal data (Art. 18 EU-GDPR) if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful but you oppose deletion, we no longer need the data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or you have objected to processing (Art. 21 EU-GDPR);

  • Receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or request the transfer to another controller (Art. 20 EU-GDPR);

  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 EU-GDPR). The competent supervisory authority is the data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. An overview of the data protection officers of the federal states and their contact details is available at BFDI – State Data Protection Authorities.

  1. Right to Object

If your personal data is processed based on legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) EU-GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, provided that there are reasons arising from your particular situation. In the case of a justified objection, we will review the situation and either stop or adapt the data processing, or show you our compelling legitimate grounds for continuing the processing.

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such advertising.

To exercise your right of withdrawal or objection, an email to widerruf@karriere-raketen.de is sufficient.

  1. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Furthermore, during your website visit, we use SSL or TLS encryption (SSL = Secure Sockets Layer; TLS = Transport Layer Security; SSL is the previous term for TLS). You can recognize the encrypted connection by the prefix "https://" in the browser's address line and the lock symbol preceding the browser line.
